Course Description:

This course covers the fundamental components of professional ethics in concept, discusses standards and practical use, and provides a model for making ethical decisions.

Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of this course, the professional will be able to:

  • Verbalize an understanding of current ethical guidelines for the mental health professional.
  • Resolve ethical dilemmas using professional guidelines
  • Manage client care within the context of an acceptable ethical framework
  • Respond to ethical dilemmas posed in professional treatment settings that facilitates a client-centered treatment approach.
