Course Objectives:

- Understand the current guidelines for the ethical practice of online counseling.
- Identify the issues involved in managing professional protocol related to online therapy.
- Implement a strategy for the resolution of ethical dilemmas in the counseling process.
Purpose of this course:
The purpose of this CE course is to provide a current understanding of the ethical guidelines for the mental health professional. Additionally, this course explores the current dilemmas of incorporating technology into the therapeutic process, and highlights the contemporary issue of “online therapy”. This course also provides an overview and discussion of a model for resolving ethical dilemmas.
