2) Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) is a unique psychological therapeutic approach that aims at amelioration of psychological suffering.

3) ACT is a model that is based on the assumption that most maladaptive behavioral patterns are caused by faulty attempts to suppress or avoid thoughts, emotions and/or sensations.

4) ACT strategies have not yet been researched but are promising.
